Clinical Mentorship

We’ve taken countless seminars and mentorships to develop our clinical skills. There was one common problem amongst many of them: actually applying the information to our own patients.

When it came to clinicians asking us to teach them what we do, our main concern was ensuring that we created something that was applicable, tangible and based on principles. This is what led us to develop this mentorship.

We combine education with coaching and support so you get your questions answered and leave ready to implement.

  • Looking to upgrade your exercise prescription skillset?

  • Want to know how to start prescribing patients exercise?

  • Unsure how to prescribe for those who are already highly active?

  • Are you stuck with helping your current patients understand the importance of exercise and what it can do for them?

  • Want to start implementing telehealth into your practice?

  • Looking to do what we do?

    We’re here to help.

How it works

We take you through the entire process from start to finish from the patient or client’s point of view. You enter our online rehab/training system as if you were one of our current “regular” clients. You see everything they see, and do everything they’d do.

What this does for you:

  • You leave the mentorship with an understanding of real world application- because you went through the process yourself.

  • You gain a better understanding of what your own patients/clients need when you assume their role.

  • We chase your own physical goals in this process. Recovering from an injury, gaining strength in the barbell lifts, prepping for a 5km or a marathon.. whatever your physical goals are, we chase them in this mentorship.

We take you through the entire process from start to finish from the clinician’s point of view. You see the inside of our online rehab/training system. We, of course, combine this with education on the how, why, when, where and what of exercise prescription and telehealth.

What this does for you:

  • You leave the mentorship with an understanding of real world application- you learn it and see it implemented in yourself and in case studies.

  • You learn the logistics. There’s no question that telehealth and online rehab are unique. We take time to demystify it and answer your questions.

  • You learn principles that are applicable across various cases, and how we communicate these principles to our “regular” patients/clients to educate them and get buy in.

Let’s change the industry, together.

What Our Members Are Saying

“Joining the Lotus clinical mentorship was one of the greatest things I have ever been a part of. It gave me the physical, mental, and life direction that I needed to quit the practice I was working at. I put my resignation in on Monday and am currently building a business that will make me feel good about the way I help people. It finally feels like I am escaping the broken healthcare system, while helping to make the new system that empowers people. Just want to take this moment to thank my coach Jenna who helped me far surpass my goals that I set for myself.

Here’s to growing!”

— Dr. Devin K.

“During my 6th trimester of chiropractic school I had the opportunity to work with Jenna through their program. I was able to see what goes on in the background with coaching/exercise prescription as a clinician. Chiro school provides us with the knowledge to pass boards. Unfortunately, we don't get the training we need for exercise prescription or patient care. Working with Jenna has opened that door for me as a clinician. I've learned to taken into consideration of the BPS model and how that may affect one's training and pain. Even after finishing the program with Jenna, she continues to provide guidance when I need. Jenna and Phil are great people and I highly recommend working with them if you're a frustrated student looking for some guidance!”

— Dr. Amy L.

“I reached out to Jenna about the mentorship program because I felt stuck. I took over a practice that focused on passive modalities to decrease patient’s pain. As a former collegiate athlete, I knew that I wanted to be able to provide more for my patients.

I wanted to allow my patients to have full control of their rehab and not have them rely on me for pain relief. In chiropractic school, we are taught minimal exercise/rehabilitation techniques and we were never taught how to apply them in practice. I was having trouble connecting the dots.

Not only did this mentorship provide me with the confidence to prescribe exercise programs to my patients, but I am currently in the process of launching a rehabilitation program within my practice. If you are looking to learn about the HOW and WHY of rehab, this program would be great for you.

The most unexpected outcome of this mentorship was feeling heard by Jenna, every single time I asked a question. Although the mentorship didn’t include “how to start your own rehabilitation program,” Jenna went above and beyond to help me brainstorm and guide me through the process.”

— Dr. Julia J.

“With Dr. Jenna's help, I was able to fill gaps of rehab for patients who were far advanced, regarding their physical strengths and fitness. Instead of just prescribing them the basic “bird-dogs” or “dead bugs,” challenging them in other ways that help translate into the patients goals. Not only did she give insight on how to rehab others, but also put me through the training as well to understand the “why” and the “how” this will progress the patient in their goals of pain-free or overall health and wellness. Working under Dr. Jenna brought up my confidence on how to better help my patients reach their goals with slow and measurable progressions. In better words, rehab did not feel like rehab. I loved how the programming worked out because goals were still met even if there were little setbacks in my training. There was never a “we have to start from square one”. I highly recommend working with Dr. Jenna if you want a different perspective on how to treat/help your patients or clients in the future.”

— Dr. Delhia R.

“I got to Jenna and Phil though Instagram, while looking and searching online for different rehab courses and education. I felt I was lacking confidence with prescribing exercises, I wanted to know what I was doing and be confident about it, since it’s not common to learn these types of progressions in chiro school.

When I first started the mentorship with Dr. Jenna, I had no clue on what even to ask because I was feeling so overwhelmed. But, as the weeks went by, not only was I learning by doing, but also, I found great help with the continuous communication that the program provided as well as the case studies and presentations discussed on it. Not only that, but when your approach is science-based, it is as everything we learned just comes together in a different way, especially when you have someone to guide you on how to apply it.

One of the most unexpected outcomes is that I went from being a full-time independent contractor, working for others and doubting my clinical skills, to being full time on my own. Now I’m starting to run two business, but confidently enough that I have professionals I can tend to if something arises or if I have any doubts. And I’m highly grateful for it.

I wish I had found this mentoring program when I was either on my preceptorship or in my last semester of student clinic. I do not regret doing it now, as I am just starting, and this mentoring has shaped the way I treat and is definitely shaping the course of my business. But I absolutely recommend this type of mentoring program, with individuals that know your needs and fully try to understand you and meet you where you are at as Dr. Jenna does.”

— Dr. Gilliany A.

“I reached out to Jenna and Lotus as I had reached a point where I wanted to quit chiropractic completely. I saw the way Lotus was practicing and it intrigued me because it aligned so much with my values of movement optimism and teaching rather than just using manual therapy as symptom management.

The mentorship program helped me better understand exercise prescription and the importance of consistency. Not only did I learn a ton, but I also gained a renewed passion for my career and my desire to help people - and am now looking forward to a long career as a chiro!

If you’re looking to learn more about how to incorporate exercise into your treatment plans and how to meet patients where they’re at, then this mentorship would be great for you.”
